One-eyed Cat

I'm so shallow. I'm sorry, but I'm not sure I would be strong enough to care for this poor little cat. It died after one day, but the picture is etched in my mind as the strangest thing I've seen in a while. I think people are at least somewhat accustomed to deformities in general. You see them every once in a while in animals and people, but it's nothing crazy. I'm sure children are born with one eye, but not in the middle of their face! What if my child were born this way? What would I do? I wonder what percentage of children are born with really severe deformities and live...and who takes care of them and how their lives are...
