Lackadaisical

So, it's been a while...I've been very busy after my birthday. And wouldn't you know, the one thing that gets me to finally blog is a linguistic issue. I am disheartened by my own self. I just looked up how to spell lackadaisical...and it's lackadaisical. There's no 's' sound after the lack...and I really thought there was. Like lacksadaisical. Mind you, I don't use this word much, and to be honest can't remember ever using it. But, I was just about to use it in an e-mail. And my hopes and dreams were dashed as I saw the correct spelling, and thus the correct pronunciation. This doesn't warrant a rendition of "Tragedy", and it's not important to life in any way, but anyone who knows me knows that I think hard about these things. It's a little sad :)
