Music Revived

So I added the Music of the Moment portion of my sidebar back. However, I changed the name to Music I Pause To. Ya know, I gotta stick to the theme. I've been more into new music lately since Ted bought a bunch of CDs and I got them on my iPod and can listen to them over and over incessantly at work. They're all rock. I get a good dose of Pop, R&B and Rap on the radio so I dont feel too deprived. Of course, if I get a car radio hookup for my iPod, that might change. But anway, I am loving Anberlin to death, specifically. I didn't dig Fiona Apple's new album that much at first, but its growing on me. I do love her so I knew I had to give it a chance. I really hate that. When I love love love the first album from an artist, and then the sophomore album fails to compare...or some other later album. I know its a little unfair to the artist. But, I really get into it and just love when song after song after song is good on multiple albums. U2 is a brilliant example. They have hits on every album they make...and they've been doing this for years and years. Third Eye Blind is another one where I have loved all the albums with no qualms. John Mayer so far is another. Mariah Carey has done pretty good, though I think her latest album is way better than her last two or so. Coldplay is another one. And Janet Jackson. I played Alicia Keys' second album like 1 time. Not sure why...maybe I wasn't in the mood that day. It doesn't happen that often, but occasionaly I'll get an album that I listen to only once, decide its nothing special and then never pick up again. I have noticed actually that I haven't been buying much current R&B lately at all. The last one I bought was probably Kelly Rowland's CD or maybe Beyonce's solo album. Strike that, I bought Bobby Valentino after hearing him talk on the radio about how awesome it was...I listened to it 1 time. Oh yeah, I bought the Black Eyed Peas, hmm and Usher...okay so fine I have bought some R&B recently. But probably more Rock and Pop.

Anyway, I'd like to get back into buying music again, and right when it first comes out. I keep not doing it, and then by the time I get around to it, I don't want it anymore. With some people, I'll never have that problem, like Stevie Wonder, Enya, or other timeless/classic artists that I know I want everything of regardless, but don't have everything. Part of my problem is that I've been all up into New Age music again and was ignoring mainstream music completely. But, I'm out of it now. But there's always space in my life for the New Age station on Yahoo! music and for Enya in general.
