Well. We watched the movie Saw last night. I am very surprised to say that it is the first movie I have ever seen that I thought was good, yet bad at the same time. I thought it was really good. It was suspenseful, clever, and had an awesome twist. But, one thing ruined it. Cary Elwes. Oh, my poor Cary. I loved you. You are super hot. You shined in my favorite movie of all time, The Princess Bride. You were funny in Hot Shots, the spoof of Top Gun. And apparently you played a minimal, but decent role in Days of Thunder. You were clever and fun in Robin Hood Men in Tights. (You were also in some lame movie with Alicia Silverstone in the 90s that I don't quite remember)
But this was bad. This was worse than the acting in that movie Gordy I posted about last week.
Cary's acting was so horrible, he nearly ruined the movie. I have never seen acting so bad in a movie that was released in theatres. It was worse than Star Wars Episode I, II, and III. I would expect that from a Scifi Channel Original movie. In fact, I just watched one that has been sitting on our TiVo for a while. It had Carl Weathers in it for goodness sake. The acting in that movie was better than Cary's acting in Saw. The movie could have been so much better without him in it. Any no name actor would have sufficed. I am utterly disappointed. Apparently, Cary is so good at spoof acting, that he can't actually do real acting. And it didn't help that his makeup was horrible. It was a great movie otherwise.

Oh my God! YES! What happened to the Cary Elwes from back in the day?! The only time when I wasn't cringing at him, was when he was sawing off his foot. I was so relieved! It felt like I was in a hammock and sunshine and a warm lady just handed me a cold drink. I almost screamed at the tv "You DESERVE IT! I WISH THIS WAS REAL YOU STINK! STIIIIIIINK!!!"
