Audioblogger

this is an audio post - click to play

Um, neato. I totally audioblogged. It was fairly easy, though I can think of many possible improvements to the process. I suppose it is fairly new (sometime in 2004 I think). Seems like a good idea though. Since the number you have to call to do it is long distance, I would only use it with my cell since it's free for me. Could be choppy though for that reason. There's a 5 minute time limit per post, but the file size is not bad and mp3 is a good universal fomat to put it in. I guess titles and commentary have to come after the post is phoned in. Not so horrible I guess.

Anyway, I'm now going to stop watching Beastmaster, the best worst tv show ever, and go to sleep.

Can't you just post in MP3 format? Most computers can make sound recordings, without having to resort to a phone.

You could just record it on your computer at home, but I think the idea is to be able to blog from anywhere. If you're on the road and you see something extremely funny/blogworthy, you can call in on your cell and blog about it right then. There are some examples of people's audio posts. A good example was from Wil Wheaton's blog...he called it in while he was in his car. This is actually good for me because I see/experience several things every day that I wish I could blog about, but forget by the time I get home.

The number to call is 415-856-0205. But you need to set up an account first and create a pin number. It's super easy and fast at Audioblogger's website
