What's News?

I'm going to bed after this because I have to get up early and run possibly tomorrow (that's a whole other thing for another time).  But, I just had to comment real quick on this article.  Why on earth is it newsworthy to find out what President Bush thinks about "Brokeback Mountain"??  We all know he would probably have issues with it.  He may very well not even care.  From what I've heard, most people think it was very good.  Is there no other trouble to stir up or something?  I wonder if he's upset about "Will and Grace" going off the air soon.  Gee, I sure wish someone would ask him that.  I'm dying to know.  In fact, I wish someone from the Associated Press could ask him and then have Yahoo! text the headline to my phone along with the other amazing late breaking news stories I've been getting through my little subscription with them…like the latest one I just got: "A member of the U.S. Bobsled and Skeleton Federation board says Tim Nardiello has been reinstated as skeleton coach".  More power to bobsledders, but I have no idea what that even meant.  And better yet, send it to me at 1am in the morning like the one I got last night about Kobe Bryant scoring 81 points in a basketball game.  That is actually a pretty cool feat, but goodness.  I guess I assumed these texts would consist of things like major terrorist bombings or "hell has frozen over" types of things.  I wish I could filter out some of the "breaking news".

…and to all a good night.
