Shocker

I was just electrocuted in my ear.

I hate being shocked. No matter what time of year, I pretty much always get shocked getting out of my car. I'm always shocking my cat and I'm worried he is going to remember and subconsciously be afraid of me. Just now, I'm sitting at my desk and have one earphone in my ear (the other side broke and I want to be able to hear what's going on around me anyway). It's hot, so I decided to slide out of the zippered sweater I was wearing. Bad idea. Not only did I get shocked from the jacket side, but it somehow transferred up to my earphone and shocked my ear repeatedly in fast succession. It really hurt. That is unacceptable. I am not safe in my own clothes. I could be brain damaged. I'll keep you posted.

Reminds me of a time when I was working on a video conferencing system, and I had the back of the unit off - while it was still on, and the headphones were in the unit and on my head. I touched something and I guess I grounded the computer with my head!

Man that hurt! :-)
